Leadership relating to...
The world is moving fast- - - and picking up speed! Can you think of any aspect of your profession that hasn't undergone tremendous change in the last five years? There have been enormous changes in technology, economics, policy and management practices just to name a few. So how do you cope with all of those changes? How can you even know where you are if they keep changing the map? And more importantly, how does one find their way in a world that seems to be lost?
Well for starters you can relearn how to laugh at the ridiculous and focus on reality. When it comes to your future you are both responsible and "response-able". This humorous and inspirational PowerPoint presentation will give you fresh perspectives on how we deal with change and more importantly, how we can make positive changes in our lives and the world around us through our personal leadership.
[Suitable for opening or closing keynote addresses; the program can be done in an hour long format, but is best when delivered in a time slot allowing 75 minutes to 90 minutes.]
Lifting the Limits!
Have you ever wondered why some people have “the right stuff” and others can’t seem to find their stuff? Have you ever wondered why some people are putting points on the scoreboard of life and others can’t seem to locate the scoreboard? What are the secrets that separate high achievers from the rest of the pack? The answers may surprise you. We all face limitations in life; but winners have learned how to LIFT their limits. More often than not, this is the key to helping sales and marketing organizations reach and surpass their goals.
Successful people consistently reach their goals by understanding two important facts about limitations:
1)Most limitations are self-imposed
2)Almost all limitations can be “lifted” if you apply the right techniques.
Life doesn't happen on a level playing field; but that’s no excuse for standing on the sidelines. Play hard. Learn the rules. Use the humor, wit and wisdom of this presentation to help you discover who and what you could be. The future is waiting for you--- to lift your limits.
[This seminar is quite similar to ZEN and the Art of Mental Maintenance in that the central components are customized to the needs and time constraints of the audience. (It’s also a handy alternative for organizations where the “ZEN” title might sound just a little too weird.) The seminar opens by focusing on the subject of limitations, with each successive topic addressing subjects and techniques for lifting limitations in that area. The closing segment always deals with Living Along the Edge, while the middle components are selected and customized from those listed below.]
* How to Rewire Your Brain * Learning to Listen * Living Along The Edge * Using the other part of your Brain (subconscious mind) * How To Improve Your Bottom Line * Finding Your Purpose * Strategic Planning * Becoming a Team Builder * Developing a Goal Mind * The Secrets of Persuasion * Making Mind Maps * The Power of Vision * Interpersonal Communication * Moving from Manger to Leader * Understanding the ‘Pyramid Shift’ * Dealing with Change (best covered in an expanded session) * Moving from Manager to Leader * The Importance of doing it NOW!

If your business or organization has nothing to do with people working together, you won't need the skills, techniques and insights conveyed in this workshop. On the other hand, if you live in the real world, and deal with living humans, you'll need such skills, techniques and insights every day of your life. All of us are in the business of building teams.
The most serious lessons in life are learned while we're "playing games". This workshop lets participants have fun with problem solving games and role playing, while at the same time sharpening their ability to cooperate, communicate and negotiate. The focus is on facilitated discussions, interactive participation and the realization that we're ALL responsible for teamwork.

A key workshop for people who work with people.
Moving From Success...
...to Significance
You work hard to make a living; but what are you doing to make a life? Sometimes people climbing the ladder of success need to make sure the ladder is leaning against the right wall. This seminar allows for some audience interaction and a lot of introspection. It takes a look at the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and makes one reflect on exactly where they think they are on the pyramid. More importantly, it helps us address the questions that each must face, and answer for themself. When's the last time you were asked to write out your "Purpose" for being here? It is a powerful thing to move from a comfortable plateau of success... to the peak of "Significance."

THE CHANGE..."

NAVIGATING CHANGE
A fun, day long, interactive seminar that helps people understand, manage and maybe even thrive when they’re dealing with that thing called “Change.” You’ll learn five things: 1) The driving force behind history’s three great waves of change; 2) The four levels of change we face; 3) The five predictable stages in our response to change; 4) The top ten strategies for dealing with change; and 5) a whole new perspective on the phrase: “You can keep the change…”
[The one common denominator for every organization, industry and agency is to learn how to deal with change in a positive and productive way. No generation of humans has had to deal with as much change as ours… and the need to understand its cause and deal with its consequences has never been greater.]

The Tadpole Principle…
Everyone knows what a tadpole is… but few people come to fully appreciate The Tadpole Principle. Why is that? Because most of us are so fascinated by changes on the outside… we fail to realize that the most important changes are on the INSIDE. (e.g. Like making the shift from breathing water to breathing air!)
The audience is treated to a lot of fun as they come to the collective realization: “We have no choice but to change on the outside… but because we’re Human… we get to CHOOSE how we’ll change on the inside!” Our most critical changes have little to do with aging… and everything to do with learning how to acquire characteristics we most admire and appreciate in others.
The “How to…” strategy develops through these two corollaries:
1) We have opportunities to change. (The Turn-row Doctrine); and
2) We have the power to change in positive ways. (The Turn-up Time Table.)
This program was the closing presentation for Rotary International’s Mid-America President Elect Training Seminar on Saturday, March 19, 2011. The 250+ attendees gave it a resounding standing ovation; and two of the written accolades are shared below:
Randy: Your presentation on CHANGE at the noon luncheon at MAPETS on Saturday, March 19 was the best I have ever heard at a Rotary function. Thanks for sharing and may you continue to excite more Rotarians as you travel around the country. I hope to hear you again sometime in the future. ~ Nick Nail, Rotary Asst. Gov. Dist. 6110
Randy, Just wanted to let you know that my mail box is full this morning with comments of praise from the attendees at the conference. Personally, I can't say enough good things about the presentation. If folks didn't get excited by that someone needs to check their pulse. ~ Joe Fish, MAPETS Planning Committee Chairman
The Tadpole Principle:
We’re MEANT to change...
and the most important changes are on the INSIDE.
